Morioh High combat combines normal movement and attacks with a limited Stand resource. Start by learning distance, facing, block, dash, and lock-on. Add a summoned Stand only when you have a reason to use it, and withdraw before the meter reaches zero. This approach remains useful even when an update changes exact damage or drain values.

Stand Meter
See the two conflicting current value sets and use a safe action cycle that does not depend on either one being permanent.
Use Basics first if attacks feel random. Use Controls when you know the decision but not the input. Use Stand Meter when a kit becomes unavailable after an extended summon.
Learn the normal layer before the Stand layer
Current PC reports use left mouse for light attacks, F to block, Q to dash, and Ctrl to lock on. Movement and camera control determine whether those actions have a useful angle. Practise turning toward a threat, entering and leaving range, and stopping after a short test instead of repeating the attack button.
Blocking is reported as frontal. Face the attacker and watch whether the current client confirms the guard. A side or rear attack can bypass the position even if F is held. A dash changes spacing; it is not automatically invulnerable and does not guarantee the next attack.
Lock-on may help keep a target centered, but it can also make movement around several players harder. Toggle it deliberately. If the camera fights your intended escape, unlock and move toward a clear route.
Add Stand actions with a purpose
With a Stand active, current PC guides report right mouse for the Stand barrage, X for its skill, and Z for summon or withdrawal. The exact action associated with a prompt can vary by Stand and update. Read the live HUD before copying a combo.
Summon when the target is at an appropriate distance or when the Stand provides a defensive, support, or control answer. Withdraw after the action if no immediate follow-up is useful. Keeping the Stand visible throughout neutral movement spends a limited resource without necessarily creating pressure.
Do not interpret a missed Stand action as proof that the control is wrong. Check meter, cooldown, summon state, range, facing, stun, and whether the target moved. Reproduce the action in a calmer situation.
Protect the meter buffer
Multiple guides agree that the Stand bar is limited and that reaching zero triggers a ten-second summon lockout. They disagree about nearly every supporting number. One older set reports 3.4 meter drained per second, 1.9 per hit, 22 per skill, and 7 recovered per second after 1.5 seconds. A newer set reports 0.4 per second, 1 per hit, 12 per skill, and 1 per second after 4.5 seconds.
Both cannot describe the same unchanged rule. They may reflect a balance update, different measurements, or different action definitions. The safe response is not to average them. Watch the current bar, end the summon with room left, and measure recovery in your own server.
The Stand Meter page provides a simple observation sheet and shows both sets as Community reported. If the current behavior matches neither, trust the current client.
Defend in the school setting
Morioh High is not only an arena. The official description centers classes, relationships, groups, exploration, and interactive NPCs. Current community guides report safe areas and consequences when teachers witness fighting, but exact boundaries and penalties still need live verification.
Before initiating combat, note the location, objective, nearby NPCs, and whether the UI marks a safe zone. Do not drag an encounter into a class simply because another player is present. If the goal is control practice, use a willing partner or low-risk target and agree to stop.
If an enemy reaches you while you are navigating, turn toward it, defend, create distance, and choose whether to leave. Winning is not the only successful outcome; preserving resources and completing the intended school activity can be better.
Use an observation loop
Start outside immediate range. Watch the opponent’s approach, identify the action they repeat, and choose one response. Block a readable frontal attack, dash away from a committed path, or interrupt only when you have observed an opening. After a short action, reset the distance.
This loop prevents three common mistakes: opening with an expensive skill, holding block while the opponent moves behind you, and spending the full Stand bar after a missed barrage. It also makes a loss informative because you can name the failed decision.
When testing a new Stand, change only one variable at a time. Compare range first, then recovery, then meter cost, then a simple sequence. A highlight combo is not useful if you cannot reach its first action safely.
Troubleshoot a failed action
If an input does nothing, confirm that chat or a menu is not capturing the key. Close the overlay, check the live control hints, and try once. For a Stand action, confirm the Stand is summoned and the bar is above the required amount.
If defense fails, look at facing and timing. If a dash fails to escape, note whether the opponent tracked, the path was blocked, or the action began too late. If lock-on chooses the wrong target, release it before repositioning.
On mobile or controller, do not translate the keyboard table by guesswork. Follow the on-screen buttons and device mapping. Share a correction only when you can identify the device and current build.
Combat questions
What should I practice first?
Movement, facing, one light attack, block, and dash. Add lock-on, summon, barrage, and the Stand skill after those actions are predictable.
Why can I not summon my Stand?
Check whether the meter reached zero. Current guides agree on a ten-second lockout after depletion. Also check cooldown, state, and the current prompt.
Is blocking all-directional?
Current community coverage describes frontal blocking. Face the attack and verify the live feedback.
Which Stand does the most damage?
No sufficiently current official damage sheet was verified. Use the Tier List for provisional roles and test the live kit rather than relying on an old exact number.
